Kay Redfield Jamison

MMAE’s initial educational event, was a day-long event, held in partnership with the Charlotte Area Health Education Center (AHEC). It examined the stigma attached to mental health disorders focusing on recognition of mood disorders.

Kay Redfield Jamison, Ph.D., professor of Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and author of An Unquiet Mind, served as keynote speaker.
