Healthy Charlotte Alliance began in 1934 as an organization for physicians’ spouses wanting to meet a humanitarian need in the community. The organization now welcomes anyone who supports our mission of advocating for a healthier Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.

There are many volunteer opportunities to serve on committees and work on educational programs and events- a place for everyone’s time and talent!

The heart of our organization is the annual awarding of funds to health related programs offered by local non-profits in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.  The list of more than 60 organizations that Healthy Charlotte Alliance has supported in the past 33 years points to our significant community impact.

Our Community Health Luncheons have educated the community about such areas as the stigma of mental illness, the importance of exercise to brain health, food allergies, Autism and Asperger’s.

Educational and entertaining programs are offered monthly, for members and their guests.

Fund raising is an integral part of any non-profit’s survival and over the years,

Healthy Charlotte Alliance  has conducted a variety of events to raise money for our Endowment.  Holiday House, held every other year, is our major fundraiser.

Membership in Healthy Charlotte Alliance  is an annual, tax-deductible fee of $50.

We invite you to join Healthy Charlotte Alliance and become one of us. We are dedicated to making a difference in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community and welcome your participation.
